– Primarily Stratford Site Job Share POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse, Medical Imaging, is a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for the delivery of quality care to medical imaging patients and family through the use of the nursing process within the profession’s scope of practice.

The Nurse assists in procedural radiological examinations within the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) in conjunction with Medical Imaging Radiologists, Technologists and other Physicians.

The Nurse will work together with the Clinical Coordinator regarding the training of student technologists in the areas of patient care and venipuncture.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Medical Imaging DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible SALARY: $33.90 to $48.53 per hour QUALIFICATIONS:
– Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
– Competent in Medication Administration
– IV Direct
– Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Experience:
– Minimum 5 years progressive clinical nursing experience preferred
– Experience in Critical Care, Emergency and/or Recovery Room/Day Surgery/ENDO preferred
– Experience/knowledge in the areas of Breast Imaging and/or Nurse Navigation preferred
– Demonstrable procedural experience in areas such as sterile techniques, biopsies, drainage procedures, catheterizations, PICC line management, conscious sedation and monitoring including the management of emergent/critical situations and adverse reactions Abilities:
– Well developed verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with patients, caregivers and families
– Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with physicians, allied health professionals, patients and families
– Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, manage time and problem solve issues related to the care of Medical Imaging patients
– Working knowledge of Meditech software personal computer application information system and related peripheral hardware preferred Applicants may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses programs Please be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
