This is a Contract position in Fort Saskatchewan, AB posted November 16, 2021.

Job Description Reporting to the Foreman, the Labourer assumes responsibility for all general Labourer duties required on industrial scope construction projects.

They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

This position is located in the Cold Lake, AB area on a client site.

Working Conditions Shift schedule – 10 hours per day for 8 days on and 6 days off Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions Working at heights Working in and around noise and dust Bending and kneeling Must be clean shaven LOA not provided Coveralls, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat and gloves are provided CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required Responsibilities Maintain Inventory of available materials.

Execute preventative maintenance of tools and equipment.

Breaking containment under air.

Closing and opening valves on a regular basis.

Address and escalate safety concerns.

Operate shop equipment to include, but not limited to: vehicles, forklifts and pallet jacks.

Load and unload materials and move materials to work area.

Operate and care for equipment and machines.

Maintain clean and safe equipment and work areas.

Follow instructions/protocol/policy from crew Lead Hand and Foreman.

Assist craft workers as necessary.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Foreman.

Qualifications Experience as a general labourer in the construction industry an asset Well head experience an asset Mechanically inclined Intermediate knowledge with tools and equipment used in industrial construction preferred CSTS-0.9 Emergency First Aid H2S Alive General construction safety knowledge Positive attitude towards safety Ability to work collaboratively Superior written and verbal communication skills Superior focus on customer satisfaction Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract Drug and Alcohol testing required Physical Requirements Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.; Occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs.
