Transit Bus Driver – Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Transit Bus Driver Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB PWTransit is currently seeking a career-oriented Transit Bus Driver to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan.

This is a part-time position; hours will vary, covering both vacation time and sick leave.

Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior customer service.

Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities.

Position Requirements: Class 1 or 2Q driver’s license Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 2 years) Driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerit points Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening Clear criminal record Must be organized, punctual and reliable Possess excellent driving skills and habits Ability to read maps and navigate (familiar with Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding area) Ability to communicate effectively Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as necessary (transit service may operate 7 days per week, 21 hours per day) Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries Washing buses PWTransit, a division of Calgary-based Pacific Western Transportation, is a full-service bus transportation company, with operations located in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
