Provide timely advice and market information to internal stakeholders and act as a visible champion of a customer-focused culture in Category Management Lead the resolution of contractual issues within the Category.

Lead Supplier relationship management by working effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure good contract performance, sustainment of value creation, supplier innovation and identification of potential futures issues.

Develop and implement an annual business plan for their category to deliver optimized category performance.

Assist with the design, implementation and maintenance of optimized business processes for Category Management.

Ensure that category management outcomes are aligned with the organization’s objectives and business plans and delivered through effective customer focused standards and behaviors.

Establish business analytics, performance management goals and KPIs for specific sub categories within the Category portfolio.

Proactively identify opportunities and lead the development of long term Category plans to create value, improve the delivery of cost effective and risk-managed service, and ensure long term stability and security of supply.

Develop and maintain industry intelligence by understanding the international and domestic supply market for the specific category, identifying associated risks and constraints, and designing mitigations for them.

Provide input in the development of an annual strategic sourcing plan which includes identification of new sourcing activities, proactive management of expiring contracts, priority setting and resource allocation.

Ensure all category commercial contracts and activities comply with current regulatory, legal and client’s policy requirements.

Develop and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders; including Moa JV partners, suppliers of goods & services, other commercial entities and customers.

Qualifications: Post-Secondary degree/diploma, preferably in Business or Supply Chain Professional designation such as SCMP, or similar years’ experience in category management and/or strategic sourcing with some experience in Input Materials and Chemicals Strong working knowledge of contracting law and contracting best practices Working knowledge of management information systems.

Good understanding of financial concepts Basic understanding of plant processes and operations Conceive and implement a 3 to 12 months’ business plan Skill set to turn data into meaningful business information Exceptional Research and Organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communications skills.

Advanced computer skills with knowledge in all Microsoft programs as well as ERP systems.
